My Story
Why I’m Fundraising for Prostate Cancer Research
Snowdonia for Science was founded in 2008 by the inspirational Matt Rannamets, who was living with prostate cancer. His vision was to bring like‑minded people together to raise vital funds while taking on a unique personal challenge. Although prostate cancer sadly took Matt’s life, his passion and determination live on through this incredible event.
On 13 June 2026, I will be taking part in Snowdonia for Science 2026.
We’ll be trekking 17.5km, starting in Llanberis, ascending to the summit of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), and returning back down — all in support of Prostate Cancer Research.
At IT Naturally, giving back is a core part of who we are. Taking on this challenge together felt like the perfect way to combine teamwork, a shared goal, and a cause that matters. Every step we take up that mountain is a step towards raising awareness and supporting vital research.
Reaching the summit will mean more than completing a physical challenge. Every step we take, alongside the many others who are supporting this event, represents a step towards raising vital funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
With your support and my determination to reach the summit, we can take on Snowdon together and help transform lives — advancing diagnosis, developing better treatments, and securing universal screening for prostate cancer.
Snowdonia for Science 2026 is about community, shared purpose, and the incredible strength that comes from people standing together to stop prostate cancer from unnecessarily and prematurely claiming the lives of the men we love.
Please support me today and help give me that extra motivation to reach the summit.
