My Story

On 13th June 2026, myself, Len, and fellow O’Hallorans will be taking part in Snowdonia for Science 2026. Together, we’ll be trekking to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) to raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer Research.

This cause is deeply personal to me. In January, my Dad was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Like so many families, cancer has had a huge impact on both Len’s family and mine. This climb is our way of turning that experience into something positive, raising awareness and helping support lifesaving research.

Prostate cancer caught early can often be successfully treated, which is why early and accessible screening is so important. Too many lives could be saved through greater awareness, earlier diagnosis, and encouraging men to get checked before it’s too late.

Anything we can do to encourage people to speak openly, know the signs, and get tested early cannot be stressed enough.

Snowdonia for Science 2026 is about more than climbing a mountain. It’s about uniting behind a shared purpose: stopping prostate cancer from unnecessarily and prematurely taking the lives of the men we love.

If you are able to make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated. However if you can't then please help to spread the word and advocate nationwide screening.

Thank you so much for your support.
